Paper Prints Policy

The International Bulletin of History and Social Science (IBHSS) is committed to disseminating high-quality research in the fields of history and social science. To ensure the preservation of scholarly work and its accessibility to future generations, this policy outlines the guidelines for paper prints associated with articles published in the IBHSS.

Scope

This policy applies to all scholarly papers submitted to the IBHSS, regardless of their format or medium of original submission. It covers both the initial submission and the final published version of the paper.

Requirements for Paper Prints

  1. Format: Paper prints should be submitted in a clear and legible format, such as PDF or high-quality scans.
  2. Quality: The quality of the paper print should be sufficient for long-term preservation. This includes ensuring that the text is readable, the images are clear, and the overall presentation is professional.
  3. Metadata: Each paper print should be accompanied by detailed metadata, including the author's name, affiliation, title of the paper, publication date, and any relevant copyright information.
  4. Digital Preservation: In addition to the paper print, authors are encouraged to provide a digital copy of their paper in a standard electronic format (e.g., PDF). This will facilitate digital preservation and wider dissemination.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Initial Submission: Authors should submit paper prints of their initial submissions along with the electronic version.
  2. Accepted Papers: Upon acceptance of a paper, authors will be notified of the specific requirements for the final paper print, including any formatting or quality standards.
  3. Submission Deadline: Authors must submit the final paper print within the specified deadline to ensure timely publication.

Ownership and Copyright

  1. Copyright: Copyright for the paper print remains with the author. However, the IBHSS reserves the right to reproduce and distribute the paper print for the purposes of preservation and dissemination.
  2. Attribution: The IBHSS will ensure that the author's name and the original publication details are clearly attributed to the paper print.

Preservation and Access

  1. Preservation: The IBHSS will implement measures to ensure the long-term preservation of paper prints, including proper storage conditions, regular inspections, and digitalization if necessary.
  2. Access: Paper prints will be made accessible to researchers, scholars, and the public through appropriate means, such as library collections or digital repositories.

Amendments

The IBHSS reserves the right to amend this policy as needed to reflect changes in technology, best practices, or legal requirements. Any changes will be communicated to authors and made available on the IBHSS website.
